Inside the factory

Layout

The building is split into six lines that share a common packing hall: printing, hand-painting, frame assembly, crystal porcelain, LED assembly, and packing. Artwork moves forward only — a printed canvas never travels back past the press, which is how we keep ink and dust off finished faces.

Printing

Epson wide-format pigment printers, 260 gsm poly-cotton canvas, ICC-profiled against our own paper stock. Every new file is proofed at production size before the run; we do not approve colour from a phone screen.

Hand-painting

Eight painters work from a digital reference, then match the colour to a physical swatch. Oil on linen, stretched on pine. Because each canvas is painted individually, expect a 5–8% variation against the proof — that variation is the reason a buyer chooses oil over print.

Frames

Pine stretch bars, PS floater frames and aluminium profiles are cut, mitred and stapled on site. Corner joints are glued and pinned, not stapled only, because a 90×120 canvas will open a stapled corner within a season.

Crystal porcelain and LED

Crystal panels are UV-cured in a dedicated room with filtered air. LED strips are tested for 30 minutes before the frame is closed — a dead strip found in the warehouse is a return; a dead strip found here is scrap.

Quality control

• Incoming canvas and frame material checked against the spec sheet per batch
• First-off sample from every print run held and signed
• 100% visual inspection at packing — colour, crop, edge, hardware
• Drop test on one carton per 50, from 80 cm, on a hard floor
• Loading photos and a carton list sent before the container leaves

Capacity and lead time

Typical lead time is 15–25 days after artwork approval, with samples in 5–7 days. During the pre-Chinese-New-Year peak we publish a cut-off date in November and hold to it — we would rather decline a late order than ship it in February.
